SANTI E MUSEI: NeMoSanctI’s seminar of “Semiotics of Religious Cultures” (2022-2023) at the University of Turin
The goal of the seminar – that is part of the course of Semiotics of Religious Cultures hold by our PI Jenny Ponzo – is to apply the semiotic theories about the analysis of museums to study how the figures of saints are represented in ad hoc museums, which actively contribute to narrate the stories of these characters by placing them inside well codified models of sanctity.
The seminar, which will see the participation of numerous scholars from different disciplinary fields, will start on April 13 next. The lectures will be held at the University of Turin and online.
