At the seminar “Il senso della pace: prospettive sulla semiotica della guerra”

Our PI Jenni Ponzo and Paolo Bertetti will participate in the Doctoral in the seminar “Il senso della pace: prospettive sulla semiotica della guerra” [The meaning of peace: perspectives on the semiotics of war], organized by Francesco Galofaro, former member of the Nemosancti team and now professor of semiotics at IULM University

The seminar will be held on 29 september and 6 October in Milan at the University of IULM, Aula Seminari – IULM 1. Friday 29 April, at 11.30 a.m. Paolo Bertetti will give a speech on “A model of Christian-Muslim brotherhood: Paolo Dall’Oglio and the community of Deir Mar Musa”; the same day, at 2.30 p.m., Jenny Ponzo will talk about “The non-subjects of war”.

What is NeMoSanctI?

 

NeMoSanctI is a research project carried out at the University of Turin. It studies how models of sanctity have changed after the Second Vatican Council. To this end, it applies a pioneering methodology based on semiotic theory to a wide corpus of normative, judicial, and narrative texts.

This project has received funding from the European Research Council (ERC) under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (grant agreement No 757314).
